We booked our stay at Emporikon for just one night in Athens and we were disappointed to find that where we were staying was not the hotel we booked. We arrived at the address for Emporikon (the one pictured on the website where we booked) and they told us that they did not have a reservation for us and we were probably in the other building. The woman walked us over to the other building a block away (on a somewhat deserted alley rather than the bustling street of the actual hotel we booked). They did have our room there but we had booked a “triple room with a view” and what we received was a room with one bed (a full I think) and absolutely no view. The room was very small, overlooked a bar that was extremely loud until 2am. The toilet also did not flush—we had to essentially take it apart and flush four different ways to make it work. There was a smart TV, but it had no access to any Chanels and would not accept any of our U.S. streaming app accounts. The hotel we booked was a beautiful historic building and that was just not what this new building was. The location on the map and the wifi name were ?a different hotel “Anasa.” There was a sign outside that said “new Emporikon building” which did make us feel that at least we were not being kidnapped, but it is very concerning that we booked one thing and received something entirely different. That is just not how a contract works. We should have at least been told it would be a different room than we paid for.

The hotel was in a great location, and the room was huge and well appointed. The staff was pleasant and helpful with transfers from the port and the airport. Unfortunately, our entry door was unable to lock, meaning we didn't feel safe leaving our luggage unattended, and we found bed bugs in our bed.

Nous ne reviendrons pas. Attentlon si vous avez une chambre c?té rue, musique a fond jusqu a 4h00 du matin ! On a pas dormi. Puis cloches a 7h30 . Impossible de dormir. Dommage que lors de notre arrivée on ne nous ai pas conseillé puisqu il y avait des chambres disponibles de l autre cote. Nous sommes tres decus

Liked the service. The place is a bit worn. They still have old fashioned single use soap and shampoos. Should switch to refillable ones.

Check in was great, and the location is amazing with a lot of shopping and dining options around. However, had to move to a different room the second night, as my first room woke me up in the middle of the night with water leaking from the ceiling all around the bed. They couldn’t move me that night as the hotel was full and had to sleep on a cot, which was quite uncomfortable. However, they upgraded me the next day to a suite with an amazing view. Unfortunately, there is also a lot of mosquitoes in the rooms as well.

Pros: Good location, walking distance to acropolis and shopping center. Safe neighborhood. Balcony has acropolis view. Cons: There’s a restaurant below the hotel that plays loud music till 1am everyday.

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to everything. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. What really sets this hotel apart is the team. They are amazing, so helpful and thoughtful! Would definitely stay at the Emporikon again when in Athens.

This place was reasonably priced and worth every penny! The area is safe and near all the shops and eateries! You are near the Plaka, Little Kook, and all the places you want to be. Easily walkable to the Acropolis we didn’t need a taxi at all here!

Anastacia and Vicki, hotel staff, were super accommodating and helpful. We super appreciate all there help and smiles. The property was centrally located. Emporikon was walking distance to all attractions and many restaurants nearby.
